Calliope’s Corner was created for you to have a safe space to help guide you along your journey. Calliope’s Corner is a place where there is no judgment and the services are tailored to your needs. It’s important to have access to a licensed professional that has your best interest in heart while helping you process your thoughts and emotions and learn coping skills to improve your symptoms.
 
Inspiration for our name

Calliope’s Corner draws its name from Calliope, the Muse of Eloquence and Epic Poetry, known for her wisdom and ability to guide others through their struggles. Her name, meaning “beautiful-voiced,” symbolizes the power of finding one’s voice and embracing wisdom.

In 2009, our founder and CEO, Dr. Teauania Charles, LCSW-S, was bestowed the name “Calliope” upon joining Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., reflecting her dedication to service and scholarship. Inspired by these principles, Calliope’s Corner was created to bring hope to the community through mental health treatment and financial education.

Here, we strive to provide a space where every client can discover their voice and wisdom to navigate life’s challenges.
