Social Work Internship Program

This internship program is designed to bridge academic knowledge with real-world practice, this internship offers a comprehensive learning experience that nurtures ethical practice, holistic care, and professional growth. Whether you’re passionate about direct service, advocacy, or program development, this internship will prepare you to make a meaningful impact while prioritizing your own well-being.

What States Do I Provide Internships To?

This internship is primarily virtual; therefore, as long as your school allows, I can provide support to interns in any state. I am clinically licensed in Texas, Kansas, Alabama, California, Nevada and South Carolina.

Key Responsibilities:

As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience across micro and macro levels of social work, including: 

  • Program Development: Assist in designing innovative interventions aligned with the 8 Dimensions of Wellness to promote holistic well-being.
  • Research & Presentation: Conduct research to support professional development workshops and community outreach initiatives.
  • Clinical Support: Provide individual and group support through clinical approaches, tailored to your skill level and program needs.
  • Macro-Level Projects: Engage in policy analysis, advocacy initiatives, and resource development to influence systemic change.
  • Event Planning & Community Engagement: Collaborate on organizing events and programs that empower both communities and fellow professionals.

Qualifications

We’re looking for passionate, driven students who are:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Social Work program.
  • Interested in holistic, person-centered social work practices.
  • Strong in organization, communication, and research skills.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment. 
  • Self-starters and creative

Learning Objectives:

Through this internship, you will:

  • Bridge Theory and Practice: Apply academic concepts to real-world situations in both micro (clinical) and macro (policy/advocacy) settings.
  • Enhance Research & Presentation Skills: Build expertise in evidence-based practices and public speaking. – Program Design: Learn to create and implement effective, evidence-informed programs.
  • Mentorship & Professional Development: Receive one-on-one mentorship from a solo practitioner, gaining exposure to both clinical and administrative aspects of private practice.
